This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) contains the terms and conditions governing your access and use of StepTogether.ca, its related URLs, and/or social media platforms (“Site”) and is entered into by and between Step Together and you – an individual or business entity accessing and using the Site.

BY USING THE SITE, YOU ARE CONFIRMING THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE LEAVE THE SITE.

1. Types of Information Collected
In order to better provide you with its products and services, Step Together collects two types of information about its users: Personally Identifiable Information and Nonpersonally Identifiable Information. Step Together’s primary goal in collecting information from you is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience while using the Site.

Personally Identifiable Information
Personally identifiable information is information that lets Step Together know the specifics of who you are (“Personally Identifiable Information”). When you engage in certain activities on this Site, Step Together may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. However, if you do elect to engage in these activities, Step Together may ask that you provide personal information, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including postal code), email address, employer, job title, and other personal identifying information.
When purchasing Services through the Site, you may be asked to provide a credit card number. Depending upon the activity, some of the information Step Together asks you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

Nonpersonally Identifiable Information
Nonpersonally-identifiable information is information that does not by itself identify a specific individual (“Nonpersonally Identifiable Information”). Step Together gathers certain information about you based upon where you visit on the Site in several ways. This information may include the website URL that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using, and your IP address.

2. Collection Methods and Use of Information
Step Together does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information about you unless you voluntarily provide it. You provide certain Personally Identifiable Information to Step Together when you: (1) register for the Services and register your email address with us; (2) enter sweepstakes or contests sponsored by Step Together or one of our partners; (3) sign up for special offers from selected third parties; (4) send email messages, submit forms, or transmit other information by telephone or letter; and/or (5) submit your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing Services on the Site. Step Together may also collect information from you at other points on our Site and you will be notified when such information is being collected.

Step Together may also collect certain Nonpersonally Identifiable Information. This information is ultimately stored in the form of store categories, and, in some cases, specific URLs. Step Together uses your IP address to diagnose problems with Step Together’s servers, software, to administer the Site and to gather demographic information. Third-party ad servers will provide Step Together with summary data on ad interactions within our Site.

Step Together will primarily use your Personally Identifiable Information to provide Services to you as required by Step Together’s agreements with you. Step Together will also use Personally Identifiable Information to enhance the operation of the Site, fill orders, improve marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyze Site use, improve Service offerings, and customize the Site’s content, layout, and services. Step Together may use Personally Identifiable Information to deliver information to you and to contact you regarding administrative notices. Step Together may also use Personally Identifiable Information to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce Step Together’s agreements with you, including this Privacy Policy.

3. Release of Information
Step Together does not sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifiable Information to others. Step Together may provide some of its services through contractual arrangements with affiliates, service providers, partners, and other third parties. Step Together and its service partners use your Personally Identifiable Information to operate their respective sites and to deliver their services. For example, Step Together must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment for products and services purchased on this Site and provide order information to third parties that help us provide customer service.
Step Together encourages its service partners to adopt and post privacy policies. However, the use of your Personally Identifiable Information by Step Together’s service partners is governed by the privacy policies of those service partners and is not subject to Step Together’s control.

Occasionally, Step Together may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide Personally Identifiable Information to the appropriate governmental authorities. Step Together will disclose Personally Identifiable Information upon receipt of a court order, subpoena, or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. Step Together fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use its services for illegal activities.

Step Together may also provide Nonpersonally Identifiable Information about its customers’ sales, traffic patterns, and related Site information to third-party advertisers, but these statistics do not include any Personally Identifiable Information.
