Terms and Conditions


These Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”) contain the terms and conditions governing your access and use of StepTogether.ca, its related URLs, and/or social media platforms (“Site”) and are entered into by and between Step Together (“Step Together”) and you – an individual or business entity accessing and using the Site.

BY USING THE SITE, YOU ARE CONFIRMING THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS OF USE AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF USE, PLEASE LEAVE THE SITE.

Step Together reserves the right to change these Terms of Use from time to time without notice to you. Your continued use of this Site and/or participation in services after such modifications will constitute your acknowledgment of the modified Terms of Use and your agreement to abide and be bound by the modified Terms of Use.

1. Description of Services
Step Together provides educational content, materials, and resources to help parents support their children in overcoming obesity and developing healthy habits (“Services”). These materials may include documents, videos, or other resources provided privately to you.

Step Together reserves the sole right to modify or discontinue the Site, including any features therein, at any time with or without notice to you. Step Together shall not be liable to you or any third party should it exercise such right. Modifications may include, but are not limited to, changes in pricing structure or the addition of fee-based services.

You understand and agree that temporary interruptions of the Services available through this Site may occur as normal events. You further understand and agree that Step Together has no control over third-party networks you may access in the course of using this Site, and therefore, delays and disruptions of other network transmissions are completely beyond Step Together’s control.

2. Privacy
Step Together values your privacy and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) as well as any applicable provincial privacy laws, including Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. Any information you provide to us through this Site, including personally identifiable information, is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is specifically incorporated by reference into these Terms of Use. 3. Payment of Fees
If you subscribe to Services on this Site that require payment of a fee, you agree to pay all fees associated with such services. Step Together will bill you through the payment method provided.

You agree to provide Step Together with accurate and complete billing information, including valid credit card information, your name, address, and telephone number, and to notify Step Together of any changes in such information within five (5) days of the change.

If for any reason, your payment method is declined, Step Together may suspend or terminate your access to the Services and require payment by other means. Until your subscription to the Services is terminated, you remain responsible for all accrued charges, even if you do not use the service.

4. Conduct on Site
Your use of the Site is subject to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. By posting information or otherwise using any communications service, message board, or another interactive service that may be available to you on or through this Site, you agree not to upload, share, post, or otherwise distribute any content that is unlawful, harmful, or otherwise objectionable as defined in these Terms.

Step Together does not pre-screen, monitor, or edit content posted by users of interactive services but reserves the right to remove content that does not comply with these Terms of Use or that Step Together otherwise finds to be harmful, objectionable, or inaccurate.

5. Termination of Use
Step Together may, in its sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to the Site with or without notice and for any reason, including, without limitation, breach of these Terms of Use. Upon termination, your right to use the Services available on this Site ceases immediately, and Step Together may delete your account and any related information.

6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site, including documents, videos, and educational materials provided by Step Together (“Content”), is protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents, or other proprietary rights and laws and is the sole property of Step Together.

Except for a single copy made for personal use, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute any Content without prior written consent from Step Together. Unauthorized use of the Content may violate copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws and could result in criminal or civil penalties.

7. Testimonials
Testimonials appearing on this Site are individual experiences and personal opinions of those who have engaged with Step Together’s Services. These testimonials are individual results, and results may vary. Step Together does not claim that the experiences contained in these testimonials are typical results achieved by those using the Services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE SITE IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT INTENDED TO TREAT, DIAGNOSE, CURE, OR PREVENT ANY DISEASE. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF YOUR PHYSICIAN OR QUALIFIED HEALTH CARE PROVIDER WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE REGARDING A MEDICAL CONDITION BEFORE UNDERTAKING ANY DIET, EXERCISE, OR HEALTH PROGRAM DISCUSSED ON THE SITE.

9. Limitation of Liability
STEP TOGETHER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF REVENUE, PROFITS, OR DATA, ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH THE SITE OR THE SERVICES, EVEN IF STEP TOGETHER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. DIRECT DAMAGES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR SUCH SERVICES OR TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles. By accessing and using the Site, you agree to and submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the provincial and federal courts located in Quebec, Canada, with respect to any matter arising out of these Terms of Service.

11. Refunds
If you are dissatisfied with the program within the first 30-days, you can request a refund by sending an email to kamy@steptogether.ca.
